April 3Apr 3 Well, hello there. It feels good to be back in the trenches, so to speak. I’ve spent a lot of time away, but honestly, my roots have always been on forums. For me, it all started way back in ‘95 a "Power Macintosh 7100" and Decent in the school library… a truly world changing experience for me. Then there were those LAN parties with my uncle, I was a kid getting utterly destroyed in Half-Life Deathmatch, but witnessing eight people connected through wires? It completely captivated me. That night with my uncle showed me Command & Conquer... and said "don's stay up too late...." well, that’s when things really shifted. I've spent years since then chasing this fascination, tinkering and learning, and I’m eager to see what’s been happening while I was gone. Let’s talk tech, gaming and everything in between and maybe we can reminisce a bit about the old days in SWG. Edited April 3Apr 3 by Dex
April 10Apr 10 Never got deep into SWG but I heard enough stories from people who did to learn losing that game left a hole still unfilled. The tinkerer thing though, There's something satisfying about knowing your setup inside out, even when it's held together with duct tape and stubbornness. Linux guys always end up being the most reliable person in the room when everything breaks.Good to see someone else who remembers when gaming felt like it meant something beyond just the next content drop. Cheers man.

Cheers man.Its interesting how i speak to people always chasing the "next thing" im like, dude i still boot up Half Life now or Unreal Tournament, and UT 2004 from time to time for a some good times. Im ok with old titles being dragged forward also like Age of Empires 2 that has had a HD release and a Definitive release... need to get my family back into that. Nothing like screaming across the house when my cavalry come charging in.
